Book Review - The Murphy Shepherd Series by Charles Martin

If you want a series of books you cannot put down, this is the one for you. While they are hard to read because of the topic, they are also written so well that you can't help but keep reading them.

Charles Martin spends three books writing about a man named Murphy Shepherd. Everyone calls him Shepherd. Shepherd spends his life-saving victims of human trafficking. He belongs to a particular government operation and has been specially trained.

The story includes some hard details from his life and his search for a long-lost love and a new family.

This book is fiction, so apart from that and the superhero mentality of Shepherd that probably isn't too real, the book shines a massive spotlight on what human trafficking is.

I appreciate how the book is written with an understanding of the trauma that victims of human trafficking face and the horrors that have been done to them.

I hate to admit it, but I had no idea how bad it was and how most people ended up there.

The storyline is good, too, so good. It takes place in Florida and Colorado.

My three oldest children read them, too. At first, I was like, um... I don't know about that, but after they started, I just thought it was time they learned about these things, which opened up great conversations with them.

Unfortunately, while they were reading them, they were so sucked into the story it was hard to get them to do anything else.

The books were recommended to me by a friend, and I am so glad she did. Thank YOU!

If you read these books, will you let me know what you think?

Please share my book review with a friend or two who loves to read.
